“Maga Depasa Thuru Sevana” app is an easy and effective way to plant trees and monitor tree planting programs in Sri Lanka.
The State Ministry of Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure, Sri Lanka has pledged to plant over 2 million trees alongside the roads and in public spaces by 2025. We are collaborating with other government organizations, non-government organizations and the public to achieve this ambitious target. To this end, we have launched our signature tree planting project titled “Maga Depasa Thuru Sevana”.
It is our pledge to ensure that the environment is protected in all our development plans. This will ensure that future generations are handed over a country that is not polluted.
Our endeavour is one that resonates with everyone who cares about the wellbeing of the environment and shares our vision to colour this planet green.
The purpose of conducting this project is, increase the tree coverage mainly by considering the alongside the road system in the country by helping the green back mother earth. As the outline of the project, the major pilot program is being implemented by the State Ministry and collaborative programmes with other organizations are linked to the central programme.
Tree planting maintenance programme will be supervised and monitored by the State Ministry.
